Life On The Farm: If you follow us on social media then you are familiar with our buddy, Chubbs. He is a newborn calf, only six days old. He was much too big for his mama to have, so he was ushered into this world with some assistance. His face and tongue were swollen and his legs have some deformity. He was unable to stand and unable to nurse. You can say the odds were stacked against him from the beginning! We gave him special care and tons of attention. Because he couldn't nurse, we had to tube him daily. The tube is inserted down the tongue, which causes him to swallow. Once he swallows, the tube can pass down the esophagus, and his belly fills with milk. This is a common practice for many struggling newborn calves.
The swelling in his head and tongue finally went down so he has been able to suck a bottle. Not every day on the ranch is sunshine and rainbows. We lose calves, equipment breaks down, the weather doesn't always cooperate, etc. There are always tough days and heartbreaking losses. We are celebrating this win and all the progress Chubbs has made!

Order today (Friday) to ensure your delivery by the end of next week! Bulk beef is purchased with a 50% deposit to reserve your order. The second payment is due before your order is shipped. Depending on the size of your order, you may receive multiple boxes.
